The Italian Minister of Labour and Social Policies Marina Calderone attended the W7 Summit on equal opportunities, in the Sala della Protomoteca of the Capitoline Hill in Rome.
In the context of gender equality, the Italian edition of the W7 Summit sought to explore issues including women's employment, financial empowerment, climate change, combating violence against women and girls, and the pursuit of peace and security. It also addressed significant cross-sectoral topics such as artificial intelligence and migration.
Thanking Women 7 for its valuable contribution to the preparations for the G7 Labour Ministers' meeting in Cagliari in September, the minister said, "At the G7 Labour Ministers' meeting, Italy will pay special attention to women's employment within the three identified priorities: the impact of artificial intelligence on the world of work, resilient companies in ageing societies, and skills development".
