Minister Calderone's meetings with the German Minister, Hubertus Heil, and the British Minister of State, Alison McGovern

The Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, held two bilateral meetings on the margins of the G7 Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting with the German Federal Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Hubertus Heil, and the British Minister of State for Labour and Pensions, Alison McGovern. With Minister Heil, the inter-connectedness of the Italian and German economies was highlighted and the respective dynamics of the labour market were explored in depth. Agreement on the need for an Action Plan for the development and the use of Artificial Intelligence was confirmed. Great attention was also paid to the issue of digital and demographic transitions, closely linked to skills, against the backdrop of the Joint Declaration of Intent on professional training. With Deputy Minister McGovern, the mutual interest in continuing an intense collaboration, underlining the mutual interest between the two countries, in particular on the issues of artificial intelligence and it's impact on the world of work and on policies that specifically support young people in work.
