Today, at the Ministry's headquarters in Via Flavia, the Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, met with the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, Alexei Buzu.
At the end of the talks, the two Ministers signed a Joint Declaration that underlines the bond of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the significant contribution of the Moldovan community in Italy.
On the basis of Italy's support for Moldova's accession to the EU and the bilateral agreement signed in Rome in 2021 on Social Security, Italy and Moldova express their commitment to continue collaborating on the evaluation of possible provisions in addition to the Agreement on Social Security with a view to the totalisation of contribution periods for Moldovans working in Italy.
