Marina Calderone, Minister of Labour and Social Policies, met with the Vice President of the Ukrainian Parliament Olena Kondratiuk at the Ministry headquarters in Via Veneto.
Minister Calderone expressed “closeness to the Ukrainian people” and confirmed the commitment of the Italian Government to support the Ukraine also by promoting the training and development of the skills necessary for the reconstruction of the country.
“My closeness is all the more heartfelt – the Minister said – when it’s children who are victims of the physical and psychological trauma of war, as we have seen with the barbarous attacks against hospitals”.
Minister Calderone outlined the Italian government’s system of protection and guarantees for Ukrainian non-accompanied minors and assured the utmost attention to safeguard their paramount interest.
