Countown to the G7 Labour and Employment. From 11 to 13 September Cagliari will be host to the Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting that brings together Italy, Canada, France, the United States, The United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. 

The Minister of Labour and Social Policies will also welcome the European Commissioner for Jobs and social rights, the ILO Director general, the OECD Director for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs and the representatives of Business 7 and Labour 7, as well as the representatives of Civil 7, Women 7 and Youth 7.

Work will be dedicated to three areas that affect our societies daily and require a supranational approach:

  • the human centered development and use of artificial intelligence in the world of work;
  • resilient labour markets in ageing societies;
  • reactive, flexible and inclusive skills, permanent learning policies.

Following the call of G7 Leaders, G7 Labour and Employment Ministers will adopt a G7 Action Plan for a human-centered adoption of safe, secure and trustworthy AI in the World of Work. In addition, they will also agree on policy principles for a resilient world of work in ageing societies and an Action Plan for improving working conditions in the care sector.
