"The focus of the G7 Labour and Employment Ministerial that will open tomorrow in Cagliari will be the reflections of companies on how to grow with an aim on the quality of work. I support the invitation to social dialogue and discussion, which I consider a starting point for all requests and reflections over the next few days". The Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, speaking at the L7 Summit in Cagliari.
“We must structure a world of work that can fully respond to the needs of a changing society, undergoing profound transformations as a result of the requirements linked to innovation, the digital and ecological transition, the way our young people relate to work and their expectations - continued Minister Calderone. The choice must be that of fair, dignified work that meets the needs of different generations: an inclusive labour market, which also restores widespread well-being for the sustainable growth of our societies. We will delve into the issues of the impact of AI on the world of work, of skills as a common thread for developing inclusive work paths, and of the ageing of the population and active ageing, which means allowing everyone to work with satisfaction, and to be able choose when to end their work activity and be able to continue an active life afterwards too".
